Volunteer Opportunities

Camps have been built and maintained through the skills and dedication of volunteers. We would not be able to continue this life-changing ministry without their efforts.  Individuals or groups are welcome.  Volunteers are needed every season of the year.  If you are a member of Thrivent please consider one of the LOMO camps for a Helping Hands Project.  

Call the LOMO office for information regarding volunteers for promotion, board members and office.  Contact the camp of your choice regarding volunteer projects for facilities, grounds and festivals.     

Volunteers are needed with a variety of skills and abilities:

Promotion
Photographer
Videographer
Volunteers willing to be a contact for their congregation to communicate LOMO programs
Volunteers willing to speak to congregations in their area about LOMO programs

LOMO Board Members
People with a passion for outdoor ministries, visionary thinkers and knowledge and skills in one of the following areas:  ministry/theology, marketing, financial development, legal, program, business, information technology and property. 

Festival Volunteers
For the day of the festivals volunteers are needed to provide:
·        activity support including face painting, crafts, games, projects
·        food support including serving and cooking
·        general support including parking lot greeters, cashiers, and help with the auctions

At LMC, volunteers are needed the day prior to the festivals for set -up, clean-up, wood cutting, cooking, and trail maintenance.  Lodging is available for Saturday night.

Lutheran Memorial Camp- Saturday, October 11, 9:00am -6:00 pm 
Lutheran Memorial Camp- Sunday, October 12, 9:00am –6:00 pm

Camp Mowana - Sunday, October 5, 11:00am – 6:00 pm
